About

Do you like GOOD NEWS? If you’re anything like us, we LOVE Good News! Good news is rare…few and far between. So much negativity around us – on social and mainstream media. But, on this platform, we just love to consume the “good” from the news, and create THAT silver lining behind every dark cloud.

Silverlining.com.ng is a website and blog that aims to tell stories and break news with a POSITIVE slant. On our News Reviews pages, we help our readers extract the positives from every story, because we try to focus on the silver lining. On our Blog section, our writers & contributors focus on educative and enlightening perspectives of various topics and experiences that could add value to the reader.

We can all hear the groan of Nigerians in this seemingly difficult times. A sudden upsurge of anger could erupt anywhere, anytime.  This platform aims to channel our energies in the positive direction, such that events will not be hijacked by anyone for selfish ambitions. We want to power up HOPE. We want to question the status quo, through Kingdom thinking. We want to inspire people to ask “What if…” questions, while thrashing out some archaic or ‘wrong’ mindsets.

We understand there can be multiple perspectives to any news. For instance, the news about coming rains could be good for the farmer but sad for the hawker. But we will extract how the larger parties can take advantage for the better.

We hope that this site’s contents will continue to be a ray of hope to you. Feel free to always drop by when you need a dose of some good news in your life. Let’s use our positive perspectives to reform and revolutionise our minds. The Holy Book says: “…whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

We Consume the “Good” from the News, and Create Hope in the Storms!
